Brexit and UK Recruiters

Despite Christmas and New Years, there was also an important historical event ... The United Kingdom finally agreed on a withdrawal agreement with the European Union. Now this is not going to be a short blog about whether I believe the UK should have left the EU or stayed in it. Before the Christmas break, however, many of my customers asked me whether Brexit will affect my work and how I will work with them. I want to try to keep it as simple as possible while taking the opportunity to dig deeper into what I'm doing (for those new to my profile) and why it doesn't affect my service.

I focus on ERP recruitment within North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. That means I work with candidates who already have the right to work in Germany and live within North Rhine-Westphalia. I then work with companies in Germany to help them find the right ERP people for them. My goal: to offer you solutions for your ERP needs and at the same time to find highly qualified, local candidates. All of this while working for IT Works Recruitment based in Preston, England (prior to Covid-19, I used to travel out regularly to meet with my clients and candidates, but at the moment we can't do that).

Now, if you're wondering why a German company should use me as a recruiter, click here to watch a video (with subtitles) explaining what IT Works Recruitment does.

Well I can totally understand why there might be uncertainties about using UK recruiters if you are a German company, especially now with Brexit. So I'm going to try to keep this as simple as physically possible (considering the Brexit deal is much longer). Since we offer a service and not deal in a physical item, we are not affected by the Brexit agreement or the movement. That said, the way we work, the fee we charge, and our terms and conditions don't change. Whether you are a company looking for ERP professionals or you are a candidate looking for a new job, you can continue to use UK Recruiters without hindrance. More important is,

I know it is still a confusing time and there is still a lot that needs to be resolved between the UK and the EU. So if you have any questions or want to know more about recruiting in Germany and using UK recruiters, contact me using the contact details below and I will advise you to the best of my knowledge.

Otherwise, I look forward to working with you in 2021!
