Overview
We are supporting a Germany-based client with a NetSuite ERP recovery and stabilisation project following a challenged implementation. The client is seeking an experienced Senior NetSuite Functional Consultant to take ownership of core finance processes, identify gaps in the current setup, and lead corrective actions to bring the system back in line with business and statutory requirements.
This role requires a hands-on functional expert with a strong finance background who can confidently challenge previous design decisions and work closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the functional recovery of a live NetSuite ERP environment

Review and assess current NetSuite configuration against business and finance requirements

Identify root causes of issues across Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay

Redesign and reconfigure finance processes including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets and tax

Support month-end and year-end close stabilisation

Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications

Work closely with internal finance teams, external partners and developers

Provide guidance, best practice recommendations, and hands-on NetSuite configuration

Support user adoption, testing, and documentation where required
Required Experience

6+ years’ experience as a NetSuite Functional Consultant

Proven experience working on NetSuite ERP recovery, remediation or post-go-live stabilisation projects

Strong finance background with in-depth understanding of accounting principles

Hands-on experience across core NetSuite financial modules

Ability to challenge stakeholders and previous implementation decisions constructively

Experience working with European entities and multi-subsidiary environments
Nice to Have

German language skills (spoken and written)
