IFS Technical Consultant

Location: Uppsala, Sweden (Hybrid – onsite 2-3 Days/week particularly at the start of the contract)
Contract Duration: 4th May 2026 – January 2027
Language Requirements: English required, Swedish is a plus

Overview
We are supporting a client in Uppsala seeking a highly experienced IFS Technical Consultant to join their Finance & HR IT team. This role will play a key part in a major ERP upgrade programme, with a strong focus on technical delivery, coordination, and execution.
The position requires a hands-on technical expert who can take ownership of ERP-related activities, ensuring that development, prioritisation, and delivery align with project timelines and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and translate business and user requirements into technical solutions
  • Take ownership of technical delivery within the ERP upgrade programme
  • Coordinate daily ERP activities, including progress tracking and prioritisation
  • Ensure all technical tasks are delivered in line with the project schedule
  • Actively participate in upgrade and implementation activities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for technical queries, clarifications, and minor issues
  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks or blockers where necessary
  • Support project governance, including budget awareness and timeline management

Required Skills & Experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience as an IFS Technical Consultant (ESSENTIAL)
  • Strong technical expertise in IFS (e.g. customisations, integrations, extensions, data handling)
  • Proven experience working on IFS upgrades and/or large-scale ERP projects
  • Ability to manage and prioritise technical workloads within a structured project environment
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills across both technical and business teams

Nice to Have (Not Essential)
  • Functional experience within Finance, Procurement, and/or Project modules
  • Exposure to Finance or HR system landscapes
