Freelance Opportunity – IFS Solution Architect
We are currently looking for an experienced IFS Solution Architect to support a global IFS programme on a freelance contract basis. This role will focus heavily on Finance processes, solution design, and user enablement within an IFS environment.
The successful consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, finance teams, and key users to help optimise and support core finance and procurement processes across the organisation.
Contract Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Length: 3–6 Months
- Workload: Full-Time
- Location: Remote
- Travel: Occasional onsite visits for workshops and training sessions
- Language Requirements: English required, German speaking is a strong plus
Key Responsibilities
- Lead solution design and architecture activities within the IFS Finance landscape
- Support and optimise Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes within IFS
- Configure and advise on 3-way matching processes and finance workflows
- Work closely with Shared Services Finance teams to improve operational efficiency
- Support MCPR-related finance and procurement activities
- Provide expertise around Part Management processes within IFS
- Assist with VAT phase requirements and finance compliance activities
- Deliver workshops, stakeholder sessions, and Key User Training
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure best-practice IFS solutions
- Support ongoing optimisation, issue resolution, and process improvements
Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience working as an IFS Solution Architect or Senior IFS Functional Consultant
- Extensive knowledge of IFS Finance modules
- Proven experience with P2P and 3-way match processes
- Experience working within Shared Service Finance environments
- Strong understanding of finance process optimisation within IFS
- Experience delivering workshops and training to key users and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment
- Excellent communication skills in English
Desirable Skills
- German language skills
- Experience with global or multi-site IFS implementations
- Previous exposure to VAT-related finance processes and compliance activities
- Knowledge of Part Management and procurement operations within IFS Cloud or Apps 10
