Job Title: IFS Migration Manager
Location: Europe (Remote with Onsite Travel)
Contract Type: Contract / Freelance

Overview
We are looking for an experienced IFS Migration Manager to support a major ERP transformation programme. This role requires someone who can take a hands-on approach to coordinating migration activities, ensuring a structured and controlled transition from a legacy ERP system into IFS.
You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders, providing guidance and best practices throughout the migration lifecycle, while ensuring the correct migration sequencing, validation, and reconciliation processes are followed.
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead and coordinate hands-on data migration activities from a legacy ERP system into IFS.
-
Define and manage the migration sequence, including extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation.
-
Oversee migration planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple migration cycles (test loads, mock runs, dress rehearsals, go-live).
-
Provide advice and guidance to internal teams on migration best practices and approach.
-
Coordinate closely with functional consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
-
Support data cleansing, mapping, and validation activities to maintain data quality.
-
Manage and resolve migration-related issues and risks during testing and go-live phases.
-
Participate in onsite project activities and stakeholder workshops as required.
Required Experience
-
Proven experience delivering data migrations into IFS ERP (IFS Applications or IFS Cloud).
-
Strong understanding of how a structured ERP migration sequence works, including planning and execution across multiple migration cycles.
-
Experience managing post-migration activities from legacy ERP systems, including validation and stabilisation.
-
Ability to take a hands-on coordination role rather than purely governance.
-
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience advising internal teams during ERP transformation programmes.
-
Comfortable working in international project environments with onsite travel requirements.
