IFS Application Specialist / Field Service Systems (Germany)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced IFS Application Specialist to take ownership of the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of an IFS ERP environment supporting field service operations. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into practical system solutions and ensure the continued development and optimization of field service processes within IFS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the configuration, development, and operation of the IFS application environment.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement and improve field service customer journeys within IFS.

  • Gather and refine business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional system solutions.

  • Configure and maintain IFS workflows, task templates, and system settings.

  • Provide 2nd-level application support, escalating complex issues to IFS 3rd-level support where required.

  • Deliver training and guidance to internal users to strengthen adoption and system knowledge.

  • Coordinate testing and quality assurance activities in collaboration with technical teams.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience working with enterprise applications, ideally IFS ERP.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical qualification.

  • Strong understanding of field service operations and technician-based processes.

  • Experience working with agile development methods and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand data structures and system integrations.

  • Structured working style with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Fluent German (minimum B2) and strong English skills.
