Functional Consultant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Central Functional Consultant to join a dynamic team. As a Business Central Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for analysing business processes, implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions, and providing ongoing support and guidance to clients. Your expertise in business analysis, solution design, and project management will be instrumental in delivering successful implementations and optimizing business processes for clients.

Responsibilities as a Functional Consultant 

  1. Conduct comprehensive analysis of client business processes and requirements to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  2. Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and objectives, and translate them into functional requirements and solution designs.
  3. Configure, customize, and implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions to meet client specifications and requirements.
  4. Lead workshops, training sessions, and user acceptance testing to ensure successful adoption of implemented solutions.
  5. Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients post-implementation, including troubleshooting issues, addressing user inquiries, and optimizing system performance.
  6. Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of Business Central solutions with existing systems and applications.
  7. Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related technologies, and share knowledge with team members.
  8. Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations, proposal preparation, and client presentations, to contribute to business development efforts.

Requirements 

  1. Proven experience as a Business Central Functional Consultant or similar role, with a focus on implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions.
  2. In-depth knowledge of business processes across various industries ideally in e-commerce and logistics but not essential. With the ability to analyse and optimize workflows.
  3. Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functionality, including finance, supply chain management, sales, and operations.
  4. Proficiency in configuring and customizing Business Central modules, workflows, and reports.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
  6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within budget constraints.
  7. Relevant certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or related technologies are highly desirable.
