The Requirement

Building the strength of your team with permanent resources can greatly benefit any business aiming to enhance long-term hiring plans with in-house skills. After initially relying on contractors for ERP implementation, the company had already started strategically hiring key professionals for permanent positions. Following the successful recruitment of a new Finance Director, they were ready to expand their internal IFS team.

One of their first priorities was hiring an IFS Finance Process Manager. This role required expertise in IFS financials, along with experience in ERP implementations, data migrations, and process management. Given the scale of the enterprise-wide IFS upgrade project spanning 14 manufacturing sites in the UK and impacting over 3,500 end-users across 96 countries, the chosen IFS Finance Process Manager needed to be market top talent.

Given the project's size and scope, involving multiple in-house applications, our client sought an IFS Financials Process Manager experienced in managing several IFS projects concurrently. In the project's initial phase, this finance expert would ensure all financial aspects were thoroughly tested and verified. Alongside overseeing the implementation, the IFS Specialist would familiarise themselves with the company's processes and action suggested IFS application requirements. Collaboration with other team members was essential for a successful upgrade. Therefore, with the role requirements established, we were able to deliver tailored talent options.

Resource Selection

Within 48 hours, we provided the client with three talent options. Each candidate was a finance expert with prior experience using IFS (from an end-user perspective). After reviewing the profiles, they selected one candidate for a two-stage interview process spanning a week. Upon extending the offer, the candidate started immediately.
