During a new implementation, the customer realised that they were relying on their implementation partner not only to implement IFS, but also to transfer knowledge to the internal staff members of the business. The customer decided they would need an internal expert, to both assist with the project and to provide support with IFS going forward.
The customer reached out to me to discuss their options. The client knew that finding IFS professionals in their local area would be a challenge, as working remote was only a temporary fix during the pandemic.
Following this, I had a call with the hiring manager to understand exactly what they were looking for in their next hire. It is important for me to understand the client’s key objectives for this role and in this case, they were looking for an immediate starter.
Being constantly in touch with the market played a huge factor in resourcing for this role as I knew of a couple of specialists who were potentially considering a change in career. From the initial email and follow up call it took me just 3 days to find 2 suitable options both within a 30-mile radius of site.
3 weeks on from engagement an offer was made to the IFS candidate whose expectations were met and they happily accepted. After working their compulsory notice, the candidate has since started their new role and absorbed a large amount of the workload, proving to be hugely valuable not only to the project but in guiding the business through a huge business transformation. It’s safe to say both parties were equally pleased with the seamless process and have both thanked me for my experience and guidance.
Of course, not every hire is as simple as this one, but I have managed on numerous occasions to fulfil their hiring needs with ERP professionals they would have never known existed.
