Position
COO

Darren embarked on his professional journey within the hotel management sector before transitioning into hospitality recruitment. However, it was in the realm of IT recruitment with a renowned global company in London that he discovered his true calling. His innate talent for business development enabled him to cultivate enduring connections with clients, many of which endure to this day.

Later, Darren's path led him to the North West, where he met his business partner and co-founded IT Works in 2004. This endeavor's success paved the way for expansion into the United States, giving rise to both Populo and Mitec Consulting. These ventures were specifically designed to specialize in Healthcare and ERP business transformation. Darren takes immense pride in providing steadfast mentorship to his teams, fostering the vibrant spirit of a young and ambitious sales floor.

On a daily basis, Darren remains the driving force behind strategic vision and planning, collaborating closely with clients to discern their unique project requirements. He then assembles distinctive associate teams capable of executing these projects to the utmost satisfaction of the clients.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Darren is deeply passionate about supporting the Lancaster & District Homeless Action (LDHA), a local charity dedicated to caring for homeless individuals in his hometown of Lancaster. Since the inception of the first bi-annual charity ball in 2014, Darren and the LDHA team have collectively raised approximately £50,000, contributing significantly to the cause of aiding homeless individuals in the region.

In his leisure time, Darren indulges his love for fly fishing and ardently supports Preston North End, nurturing hopes of Premier League glory for his beloved team. He is also a lifelong cricket enthusiast and enjoys daily exercise with his faithful golden retriever, Floria, as they explore the picturesque hills of South Cumbria.
