ERP Manager (IFS)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced ERP Manager with strong IFS expertise to oversee the day-to-day management, optimisation, and strategic development of the IFS ERP platform. The successful consultant will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners, ensuring the ERP system effectively supports business operations and ongoing transformation initiatives.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a blend of functional, technical, and stakeholder management skills within an IFS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the organisation's IFS ERP landscape, ensuring system stability, performance, and business alignment.
  • Lead ERP-related projects including implementations, upgrades, rollouts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into ERP solutions.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, implementation partners, and support providers.
  • Oversee ERP support, incident management, and issue resolution activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Projects.
  • Drive process optimisation and standardisation through effective use of IFS functionality.
  • Manage ERP governance, change control, and system enhancement requests.
  • Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, and go-live readiness.
  • Develop and maintain ERP roadmaps, documentation, and best practices.
  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, security, and reporting requirements are met.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ERP analysts, consultants, and key users.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience managing ERP systems, with strong expertise in IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud.
  • Proven track record leading ERP implementations, upgrades, or transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of ERP business processes across:
    • Finance
    • Supply Chain
    • Manufacturing
    • Procurement
    • Inventory Management
    • Projects
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and ERP support teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical ERP solutions.
  • Experience with ERP governance, change management, and release management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Experience

  • IFS Cloud implementation or upgrade experience.
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, defence, energy, or industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of integrations, reporting tools, and ERP architecture.
  • Experience managing ERP teams in international environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies.
