Job description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled IFS Functional Consultant to join our team in Germany. As an IFS Functional Consultant, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation and optimization of the IFS ERP system for our clients. You will collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to understand business requirements, configure the system, and provide expert guidance on leveraging IFS functionalities across various business domains.

IFS Functional Consultant Responsibilities

  1. Business Process Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of clients' business processes, gather requirements, and recommend optimal solutions using IFS ERP functionalities.

  2. System Configuration: Customize and configure the IFS ERP system to align with clients' business needs, including modules such as finance, supply chain management, manufacturing, project management, and customer relationship management.

  3. Requirement Gathering and Documentation: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to capture business requirements, document functional specifications, and create process flowcharts to guide the implementation process.

  4. System Integration: Work closely with technical teams to integrate the IFS ERP system with other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process integration.

  5. User Training and Support: Provide end-user training on IFS modules and functionalities, enabling clients' teams to effectively utilize the system. Offer ongoing support to address users' inquiries and issues related to IFS ERP.

  6. Data Migration: Collaborate with technical teams to define data migration strategies, cleanse and migrate data from legacy systems into the IFS ERP, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  7. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans, conduct system testing, and ensure high-quality deliverables by identifying and resolving any functional issues or discrepancies.

  8. Change Management: Assist clients in change management activities related to process improvements and system implementations, including communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.

  9. Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  1. Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience working as an IFS Functional Consultant, specializing in multiple modules, such as finance, supply chain management, manufacturing, project management, or customer relationship management.

  2. IFS ERP Expertise: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the IFS ERP system, including configuration, implementation, and support across various functional domains.

  3. Business Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of business processes in areas such as finance, procurement, production, project management, and sales. Ability to analyze and optimize processes using IFS ERP functionalities.

  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and customizing the IFS ERP system, including setting up workflows, creating reports, and managing master data. Familiarity with SQL and report writing tools would be beneficial.

  5. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze complex business requirements and recommend effective solutions within the IFS ERP system.

  6. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English. Ability to effectively collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  7. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and deliver projects within timelines and budget constraints.
