Job description

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated IFS Project Manager for my client. As an IFS Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the implementation and deployment of IFS (Industrial and Financial Systems) ERP solutions. Your primary focus will be on delivering successful projects within scope, budget, and timeline while ensuring client satisfaction.

IFS ERP Project Manager Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Coordinate and oversee all project activities to ensure successful execution and adherence to project milestones.

  2. Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements, objectives, and constraints. Provide expert advice on how to best leverage the capabilities of IFS ERP to meet their specific needs. Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

  3. Team Management: Lead and manage a cross-functional project team, including functional and technical consultants, developers, and other project resources. Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor team performance to ensure high-quality project deliverables.

  4. Project Governance: Establish project governance structure and processes, including regular project status meetings, progress tracking, risk management, and issue resolution. Provide project updates and reports to stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and project sponsors.

  5. Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth project adoption and minimize resistance. Work closely with clients to ensure effective communication, training, and user adoption of the IFS ERP system.

  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with best practices. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify and address any gaps or issues. Implement quality control processes to validate system functionality and data integrity.

  7. Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budget and resource utilization to ensure projects are delivered within approved financial constraints. Identify and manage project risks, escalate issues as necessary, and propose solutions to mitigate potential project delays or budget overruns.

  8. Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project methodologies, tools, and processes. Capture lessons learned and best practices for future projects, contributing to the overall development of project management capabilities within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an IFS Project Manager or similar role, with a successful track record of delivering complex ERP implementation projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of IFS ERP system, including modules such as finance, manufacturing, supply chain, and project management.

  • Strong project management skills, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and change management.

  • Experience in leading cross-functional project teams, including functional and technical consultants, developers, and other project resources.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, senior management, and project team members.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions within defined project constraints.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA) to effectively plan, monitor, and control project activities.

  • Understanding of ERP implementation lifecycle and best practices, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.

  • Ability to travel to client sites as required (depending on project needs).
