Job description

As an IFS Finance Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and supporting IFS Financials solutions for our esteemed clients. You will collaborate with diverse project teams and finance professionals to understand business requirements, identify pain points, and offer tailored financial management solutions.

Leveraging your expertise in IFS Financials and finance best practices, you will contribute to the success of our projects, optimizing clients' financial processes, and ensuring their successful adoption of IFS Financials software.

IFS Finance Consultant Responsibilities

  1. Gather and analyse clients' financial and business requirements to develop comprehensive IFS Financials implementation strategies.

  2. Lead workshops and engage in meaningful discussions with clients to understand their financial processes, challenges, and objectives.

  3. Design and configure IFS Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting, and Cost Management, based on clients' specific needs.

  4. Conduct thorough testing of configured modules, ensuring quality and compliance with project requirements.

  5. Collaborate with technical teams to integrate IFS Financials with other systems and applications to streamline finance-related workflows.

  6. Provide end-user training and support to facilitate successful system adoption and optimal utilization of IFS Financials capabilities.

  7. Offer expert advice on finance best practices, financial reporting, and compliance matters to clients.

  8. Participate in project management activities, including scope definition, timeline management, and issue resolution.

  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and enhancements in IFS Financials and relevant financial industry trends.

  10. Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the organization and mentor junior team members as required.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience (2+ years) in implementing and supporting IFS Financials or a similar ERP system, focusing on finance modules.

  2. Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements in Germany.

  3. Experience in configuring IFS Financials modules to address diverse business requirements and processes.

  4. Excellent analytical skills to assess clients' financial needs and propose effective solutions.

  5. Solid project management skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  6. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.

  7. Fluency in German and English is required. Additional languages are advantageous.

  8. Willingness to travel to client sites as needed (travel frequency will vary based on project requirements).
