Unlike almost all our IT Works consultants, Owen did not transition from an existing job for a career in recruitment. Attracted by the success of our vibrant young team, friendly environment, and the opportunity to build a career, Owen joined the team straight after college. Eager to succeed, Owen was determined to learn all he could about our niche markets, existing clients, and recruitment process. His determination and tenacity saw him climb the career ladder quickly.
As one of our IFS experts, Owen specialises in the contract market, finding the right resources for clients across the UK. Key to his success is the ability to create and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates across this dynamic market. One of the things Owen loves most is the sense of community in this small and very tight arena, where reputation matters. As a market expert, Owen is a true believer that his integrity, knowledge, relationships, and methods are key to his success.
Having played rugby since the age of four, Owen is a true lover of sport. Whether it’s golf, cricket, rugby, or football, he loves all them all. He has even tried his hand (or feet) at running and took part in a marathon just to challenge himself!
Ask Owen’s colleagues for one word to describe him and it would undoubtedly be ‘energy’. Owen is a larger-than-life personality and is central to office life at IT Works. Owen’s enthusiasm shines through in everything he does, and his team spirit means he is always on hand to his support colleagues. As a supporter of Liverpool FC, Owen applies his club motto to work meaning ‘you’ll never walk alone’.
As a market expert, Owen is a great resource to have on your team when recruiting. He is knowledgeable about your niche and is honest and reliable. This means if you ask for something, you can guarantee you will get a response or result with Owen.
“IT Works just felt like the right place for me to be, a great environment where young people were given the support to enable them to really succeed – and I wasn’t wrong”
